About Us

Our Mission

We are a 501c3 Missouri Nonprofit Corporation. Our mission is to level the playing field for people of color and economically disadvantaged families so that they may prosper physically, spiritually, and financially.

*The outcome of all our efforts is to reduce and prevent poverty, obesity, suicidal ideation, and mass incarceration in low-income by providing low-cost and free programs for health, fitness, and wealth building as well as recreation and entertainment.

Our Vision

Imagine a space that is only for you, an exclusive membership to a country club that provides low-cost and free programs for health, fitness, and wealth building, as well as recreation and entertainment. A space you can come to get exclusive low-interest payday loans, home loans, free health care, and legal representation. A Space for Us, designed to help us thrive and become prosperous.

We will offer a quiet place of rest, competitive recreation, and entertainment for all ages. Members will enjoy daily access to horseback riding, a gymnasium, a fitness center, camping, fishing, trails, a prayer room, a clubhouse with a dining room, and weekly entertainment. Members may also join wealth-building, weight loss, fitness, nutrition, and tutoring programs.

Members in need of peace and spiritual renewal will be able to check in to one of our cabins, RV, or campsites. They will have access to all the amenities while being immersed in the sights and sounds of nature, away from the distractions of the world.

"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.: Isaiah 40:29-31

Physical Prosperity

Promoting wellness in the community and building connections in the workplace.

Together with the Boys and Girls Club, we host the Joplin Metro Corporate Challenge (JMCC). The corporate challenge is an Olympic-type charitable event that allows Joplin Metro companies to interact with each other through various sporting events. We offer something for everyone! Recreational activities such as cornhole and a scavenger hunt are represented, as well as competitive athletic events such as softball, volleyball, and running.

Financial Prosperity

SET Ranch hosts low-cost prosperity workshops to help with business start-ups. Covering things like registering with state and local agencies, obtaining tax ID and sales tax ID, establishing a bank account, business planning, setting up social media accounts and an online presence (Google, Yelp, website), basic bookkeeping and tax information, finding affordable solutions for credit processing and business phone line.  We also have workshops on how to build wealth with your tax refund, investing, budgeting, and planning for homeownership.

A STEM (a grouping of four overlapping disciplines: science, technology, engineering, and math) branch, MaRopafadzo Foundation, was founded by Ropafadzo Sandiswa Nyakutya ("Ropa Sandiswa" for short) in 2023 to give back to the community through science by helping children in the USA, and Zimbabwe get interested in the STEM areas that lack diverse representation. Introducing STEM fields to those that might not have otherwise considered it will help families prosper in the future.
