About Us
Our Mission
We are a 501c3 Missouri Nonprofit Corporation. Our mission is to level the playing field for people of color and economically disadvantaged families so that they may prosper physically, spiritually, and financially.
"He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.: Isaiah 40:29-31
Promoting wellness in the community and building connections in the workplace.
Together with the Boys and Girls Club, we host the Joplin Metro Corporate Challenge (JMCC). The corporate challenge is an Olympic-type charitable event that allows Joplin Metro companies to interact with each other through various sporting events. We offer something for everyone! Recreational activities such as cornhole and a scavenger hunt are represented, as well as competitive athletic events such as softball, volleyball, and running.

Shaping diversity in behaviors, values, institutions, and voter participation.
We are a founding partner of the Rock Center Coalition. The Rock Center Coalition was formed together as one body made from many parts to mobilize residents to develop and carry out a communitywide plan to:
Preserve the historical context and integrity of local black organizations, structures, events, neighborhoods, and history.
Develop black community leaders in business and public office.
Increase awareness of and promote black organizations and businesses in the community.
Be a predominant force in the local community in shaping diversity in behaviors, values, institutions, and voter participation.
